I had tested functionality and print quality against Imageprint, Postershop, ImageNest, and Print-Tool. They all work, and work well. But the advantages of ease of use were the decisive factors for us. In this discipline PrinTao 8 edged the others out. This is a go for us with PrinTao 8.

After putting off learning PrinTao 8 thinking that I needed a lot of time, which I and many of us don’t seem to have these days, I finally got around to printing using PrinTao 8. To my amazement, I was making great looking prints immediately on my Epson 7900. The power and ease of use is tremendous! After loading our papers and profiles, this will be our only printing software. For mac users, I highly recommend PrinTao 8!

I have two Epson 7900 printers and I use Printao 8 for ALL my printing. It is simply the best in overall quality of print and ease of use. It’s difficult to make a mistake with Printao 8. I don’t think I have wasted one sheet of paper since I started using it. Printao 8 gives me 100% confidence in getting the colors and image position right on my prints. Sometimes I photograph and print very subtle shades which are critical to the overall composition. Printao 8 nails it every time. A nice bonus is that the occasional support that I need from the company has been superb. What a refreshing joy it is to use a high quality piece of software and work with responsive people behind the company.

My experience with PrinTao 8 and the Epson 3880 and 4900 has been excellent. It does a great job of reducing what we at Red River Paper call IRS, or Inkjet Related Stress. When I click the print button in PrinTao 8, I am quite certain the outcome will match my calibrated monitor. I am impressed by its integration with my Lightroom catalogs and print layout templates. I primarily shoot sports and sell a number of print packages. The print templates are just right for my needs.

When comparing the color prints from the 3880, using Photoshop as the print manager rather than PrinTao8, the preferred print was the PrinTao 8 result. The prints seemed to be slightly lighter in overall tone. The colors are very realistic, and closely match the calibrated monitor screen, the first time. Rick attributes this to the ICC profiles that are built into the PrinTao 8 software. […] The CAPA members who viewed the (blind test) prints pretty much agreed with the comments above. There was overall agreement that PrinTao 8 produced a preferred print result to using Photoshop as the print driver.
